General Law for the Protection of Personal Data in the Possession of Obligated Parties
Legislation that regulates the processing of personal data held by public entities. Its main objective is to guarantee the protection of personal data and the exercise of the rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition (known as ARCO rights).
General Guidelines for the Protection of Personal Data
These are a set of guidelines issued by the National Institute for Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI). These guidelines aim to detail and clarify the provisions of the General Law for the Protection of Personal Data in Possession of Obligated Parties (LGPDPPSO) and provide specific guidelines for its implementation.
